50, Dingwall
It is with great sadness to announce the sudden passing of John Mark Fraser on October 29, 2014, at home.
Born in Neil’s Harbour, Mark was the son of Anna Jane (MacKinnon) and the late Murdock Fraser.
Mark was a devoted husband, father, brother and friend. He was an avid fisherman with his best friend, Paul, on board the T and Z. He loved his music, the outdoors, his dog Maisy and when it came to Jeopardy, he was always the winner. The love Mark and Candy shared truly was remarkable. She was his everything and he was hers.
Mark is survived by his loving wife, Candy; daughters, Lynda (Murdock) and Kristen; grandchildren, Bevaun, Anissa, Ethan and Vincent; step-children, Haylee, Kasey and Chester; brothers, Danny (Wanda), Lawrence (Mary) and Andy (Dawn); sisters, Vivian (Jack), Rose (Nelson) and his dear mother, Anna Jane. Mark is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his father, Mark was predeceased by his brother, Angus.
By Mark’s request cremation has taken place. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate the life of John Mark Fraser will be announced at a later date.
Donations in memory of Mark may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or St. Joseph Parish, Dingwall.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
