It is with sadness that we the family announce the passing of Mary ‘Agnes’ Catherine Lockman on Tuesday August 24, 2010 at the Harbourstone Enhanced Care, Sydney River.
Born in New Waterford on Oct. 31, 1917, Agnes was the daughter of the late Neil and Florence (Batherson) McPhail.
Agnes is survived by her loving daughters, Beverly (the late Hazen) MacDonald, Ben Eoin, NS and Marilyn Winkler, Windsor, ON; as well as 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Agnes was predeceased by her husband, Renzie; daughter, Shirley (Ray) Koziel; brother, Archie; two sisters, Annie Mae Smith and Helena Bona and a grandson, Kurt MacDonald.
The family of Mary ‘Agnes’ extends a special thank you to the staff at Harbourstone for their loving care at her time of need.
At Mary ‘Agnes’ request there will be no visitation or public service. Cremation has taken place. A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of the Pier Community Funeral Home.
Donations in Agnes’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
