We, the family of Sharon Anne Hill of Point Edward regret to announce her passing on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, surrounded by her family.
Sharon was born in Glace Bay on December 31, 1961, to the late John and Camella MacDonald.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Rooster Hill; siblings, John, Michael, Valerie, Hopper and Sheldon; brothers-in-law, Alex, Wesley, Gerald, Peter and sister-in-law, Susan. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nephews, great-nieces and other extended family members.
Besides her parents, Sharon was also predeceased by her father-in-law, Hanson and sister-in-law, Kathleen.
Sharon loved dancing, playing darts and taking long drives with no destination. She also loved spending time with friends and family, Christmas dinner and holiday gatherings. Sharon loved everyone from the moon and back.
Visitation and memorial service to celebrate the life of Sharon Hill will be held at Pier Community Funeral Home, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church St.), Whitney Pier on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 12 noon to 2 p.m. with the memorial service to follow at 2 p.m. in the All Faith Chapel with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.
Donations in memory of Sharon may be made to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation, Renal Unit.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
