With heavy hearts and profound sadness, the family of Bruce Delmar Brown, announces his passing on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Bruce was predeceased by his parents, Muriel Brown (Parris) and William Earl Brown.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Donna (Martin); his children, Shawn (April), Camille, Kelly, Justin (Tiffany) and Darryl. He was a proud grandfather to Justice, Denell, Myles, Azhar, Gavin, Ethan, Cyndel, Bronte, Sebastian, Max, Noah, Oliver, and Levi. Bruce is also survived by his brothers, Darryl (Carol), Curtis (Kristina); and his sister, Paula Rankin (Will). He will be remembered by his great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Bruce Brown was a strong, kind, and caring man with a beautiful soul. He lived with quiet strength and unwavering love for his family, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Bruce’s legacy lives on through his family and in the countless lives he touched with his strength, kindness, and loving heart
In keeping with Bruce’s wishes, a private visitation will be held in his honor at the Pier Community Funeral Home.
Donations in memory of Bruce may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.

I grew up with the Brown family, and I remember Bruce well. He was a really cool guy who would always make me laugh. I remember the awesome house parties with him, Darryl, Paula, Curtis, their parents and every single friend we all knew. Those were some great times! I know somewhere in heaven he’s partying again.

So sorry to hear of Bruce’s passing. I was his next door neighbor for a couple years , a few yrs ago. One of the kindest men you would ever meet. My sincere condolences to everyone. I’m extremely sad, yet I think of the incredible life Bruce had. He was an incredible Father. My best memory was him telling me how proud he was of all his children. To me he was a super cool, old school role model. I am sad…but comforted that he knew how much his family loved him.

So sorry for this loss. I first met Bruce and the family when I met Camille nearly 30 years ago. I remember Bruce as a kind friendly man with a great sense of humour. This is such a shame. I wish I had got out to visit him in Cape Breton he always had an open invitation. My condolences to all the family. I am fortunate to have two pieces of his carpentry in my home. Bruce was a great neighbor to my sister, always caring and offering to lend a hand when he could. If I went to visit and Bruce was out in the yard, he would always take time out of what he was doing to say hello and have a quick discussion about the community. May his light shine upon us all and may he Rest In Peace.
