The family of Dale Margaret Howell are heartbroken to announce that she has passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025, at home. She was 61 years old.

Dale was born with a congenital heart defect which limited her activities, but she was a fighter through and through. She loved to go for a ride with her sisters, and chat about the latest goings on in her beloved hometown. With her Tim Horton’s in her hand, you could hear Dale’s laugh (and occasional snort) ring out and cut through all the chatter. She loved life, she loved country music, she loved Bingo! Back in the day, Dale loved the Super Nintendo and Duck Hunt, just ask CJCB how many times she won one from them!

When she was younger Dale was a killer Yahtzee player, often playing game after game with her mother, Eva. She was the baby of the Howell family, the one never expected to stick around until adulthood, but she showed them all. Through multiple open-heart surgeries, numerous blood clots, and COPD, she still beat the odds.

Dale is survived by her sisters, Diana Campbell (Darryl), Debbie, Denise, and by her brothers, David, Derrick (Ann), and John (Shirley).

Dale is predeceased by two siblings, brother, Douglas Howell, sister, Donna Howell and her loving parents, Melvin and Eva Howell.

There will be no visitation for the late Dale Howell. Family and friends are invited to a graveside memorial service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks, with Fr. Paul Murphy officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dale may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
