Condolences to the Horechuk family, may Stella rest in peace.
Dear Chrissie, Michael, Stevie and Marie,
I am so very sorry for the loss of your mom. Even though it has been many years since I last saw Aunt Stella, I can still remember her constant smile accompanied by her great sense of humour. As a child, when we would visit, your mom was a great host. There are many pictures of large family gatherings inside your mom’s house on Elmwood Ave.
Please know that our thoughts and prayers are will each of you and your families at this difficult time.
To the Horechuk kids and their families, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Stella was so much a part of our lives, all our lives and it is hard to imagine not seeing her again. She remained a role model as a giving member of our community, always warm, friendly, interested in others and full of empathy and good humour. Her years of service to our Parish and to the Ukrainian community, her amazing leadership to the Women’s Club, the wise sharing of her counsel and excellent problem solving skills, her steadfast support of those she knew and loved, her dedicated years to the Choir are unforgettable, and stand as a testament to a woman who truly understood what it means to be a servant of God. A tragic loss to your family, to our community and to each of us who called her friend….we loved your Mom and we grieve with you…..Valerie and Erica

To the Horechuk family,
I send my sincere condolences to you. Stella was such a lovely person, so caring and family oriented. I enjoyed my encounters with her over the years when home in Cape Breton. She always took time to ask me about my nursing career in BC. May she rest in peace.
Stella and Nick played a vital role in our Ukrainian community with many years of dedicated service. Just recently working with Stella in the kitchen I told her I miss Nick. Her reply was ” So do I .” God bless them both !
Our deepest condolences are extended to both the Horechuk and Mulak families. We have very fond memories of both Stella and Nick
whenever we were home. Stella always had a welcoming smile.
“VICHNAYA POMYAT”
To all of the Horechuk and Mulak families I am so sad to read this news, I spoke to Stella not that long ago and she seemed the same as the day I met her, and I told her that. We had a grand ol chat as always and it was just a pleasure to see her, always so warming to speak with her. I truly will miss having chats with her. Thinking of you all, thoughts and prayers are with you. She will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her.
I’m so sorry to hear about Stella’s passing. She was much more to me than a sister-in-law, she was a very special friend. I wish to express my deepest condolences to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. I know how much she meant to you. May you find strength and comfort in each other and in your memories of her. My love and prayers are with you.
My earliest memories in life include my Aunt Stella and Uncle Nick and my heroic older cousins who all made things so very pleasant and often exciting. Aunt Stella was warm and caring and she made 39 Elmwood and 74 Mount Pleasant such wonderful places to be as a band of cousins growing into this world. My heart goes out to Chrissie, Mike, Steve and Marie and their families and also to my mother and her beautiful brothers and sister who stuck together all these years and lent special meaning to family bonds and loving support. God bless the whole lot of you, far and wide across Canada.
Sincere condolences to the Horechuk and Mulak families on the loss of Stella. She was a kind, caring and positive woman.
