Whitney Pier

July 7, 1963 – May 30, 2025

It is with broken hearts and deep sorrow that we, the family announce the sudden passing of Donna Marie French-Campbell, who left us peacefully at home on Friday, May 30, 2025.

Born in Sydney, Donna was the cherished daughter of Annette (MacLean) French and the late Edward ‘Eddie’ French. She was the devoted wife and best friend of Dan Campbell, and a loving mother to Denise French (Jason), Mitchell Campbell (Amy) and the late Stephen ‘Kane’ Campbell (Annette). She also shared a special bond with Brent Campbell, father of Mitchell. Donna was a proud and adoring grandmother to Donovan French and Logan Campbell, who were truly the light of her life. Donna also had a special connection with Hayden and Abby, who she welcomed with open arms as part of the family.

Donna is also lovingly remembered by her brothers, Kevin French (Evelyn) and Chad French (Renee). She is also survived by a large extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends who were blessed to know her.

A longtime member of Holy Redeemer Parish in Whitney Pier, Donna lived her life with a generous heart and a joyful spirit. Her smile and infectious laugh could brighten any room, and her love for others was both deep and unwavering. She never hesitated to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Donna’s happiest moments were those spent with her grandsons, Donovan and Logan. Her love for them knew no bounds. She also cherished time spent playing tarbish with her mother, Annette, a beloved pastime for them both and singing her favorite songs during karaoke nights. Donna’s vibrant personality and passion for life made every gathering memorable.

She had a special place in her heart for her beloved fur babies, Mia and Babies, who brought her great comfort and companionship.

Donna was predeceased by her father, Eddie French; son, Stephen ‘Kane’ Campbell (Farrell); in-laws, Nora and Bricky Campbell and as well as several beloved aunts and uncles.

In remembering Donna, we hold onto her laughter, her love, and the way she made everyone feel like family. She will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
