The family of Eva Rose ‘Chubby’ Bishop regrets to announce her sudden passing on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at her home in Whitney Pier.
Born in Sydney on April 5, 1954, Rose was the daughter of the late Joseph and Eva Bishop.
Rose was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed listening to music, watching football and drinking her morning tea. She cherished her time speaking to her son and grandchildren on a daily basis.
Besides her parents, Rose was predeceased by brother, Wayne Bishop; sister, Anna Desmond, and brothers-in-law, Joe Estwick, Dale Desmond and best friend, Connie Yakemchuck.
Rose is survived by her only son, Daniel (Amanda) Bishop; three grandchildren, Tyson, Aubree, and Tristen Bishop of Fort McMurray; siblings, Susan Estwick, Karl (Donna) Bishop, and Lisa (John) Chordis of Sydney, Betty (Shaun) MacLean of Edmonton, and Lois Bishop of Toronto. Rose will also be missed by many nieces, and nephews.
A private service will be held at a later date for the late Rose Bishop.
Donations in memory of Rose may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
